The Polish world No. 2, who was aiming for her first title in Dubai, fell 3-6, 3-6 to the 17-year-old Russian in their women's singles clash on Thursday.
The match lasted 1 hour and 38 minutes, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Last week, Świątek reached the semifinals of the Qatar Open in Doha, where she succumbed 3-6, 1-6 to Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko.
"For sure I'm not happy with the results," the Pole said after her match with Andreeva.
"I feel like I underperformed," she added, as cited by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). "For sure I need to, like, talk with my team a bit and plan the next weeks a bit differently 'cause I haven't had much time to practice before these tournaments. I felt that my tennis was kind of... There were some things missing that should have been there. We'll talk about it."
The Polish star in October parted ways with her long-time coach Tomasz Wiktorowski and hired Belgium's Wim Fissette to replace him.
Last year, Świątek reached the semifinals in Dubai. Two years ago, she lost the championship match to Czech player Barbora Krejčiková.
