Volleyball: Poland beat Czech Republic in European championship opener

The Poles, one of the world's strongest teams, will take on the Netherlands in their next match in Skopje, North Macedonia, on Friday.

The 2023 Men's EuroVolley championships are being held in North Macedonia, Italy, Bulgaria and Israel from August 29 to September 16.

The Polish team won the bronze at the continental tournament in 2021.

The Poles, managed by Serbian coach Nikola Grbić, finished runners-up at last year's world championships after previously winning titles in 2018 and 2014.
