Volleyball: Poland beat Denmark in fourth straight European championship win

Poland picked up their fourth straight win at the 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championship on Tuesday, having already sealed a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.

The Poles defeated Denmark 3-0 in their penultimate group-stage match in Skopje on Tuesday night, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Poland, one of the world's strongest teams, beat the Czech Republic 3-0 in their opening game of the EuroVolley tournament and followed up with a 3-1 win against the Netherlands, and a 3-0 victory over co-hosts North Macedonia.

The Polish team, managed by Serbian coach Nikola Grbićwill take on Montenegro in its final group-stage match at the continental tournament on Wednesday.

The 2023 Men's EuroVolley championships are being held in North Macedonia, Italy, Bulgaria and Israel from August 29 to September 16.

The Poles won the bronze at the 2021 EuroVolley tournament.

Poland won world championship titles in 2014 and 2018 and finished runners-up last year.

Earlier this year, Grbić's men won the Volleyball Nations League.
