With the draw, the Czechs now have two points, while Poland won their first point, leaving both teams in contention for a main-round spot, the International Handball Federation said.
The decisive matches will take place on Sunday, with Poland set to face Switzerland and the Czechs up against Olympic silver medalists Germany.
The Polish team, coached by Marcin Lijewski, began their campaign with a 28-37 loss to Germany on Wednesday.

The 2025 World Men's Handball Championship is being jointly hosted by Denmark, Croatia and Norway, and runs until February 2.
A total of 32 teams, including defending champions Denmark, are competing for the title.
