The Oscar-winning director will travel to Poland to collect the festival’s Cinematographer-Director Duo Award alongside his long-time collaborator Robert Richardson, state news agency PAP reported.

The festival organisers said in a statement on Wednesday that with his “vibrant imagination and dedication to richly layered storytelling Quentin Tarantino has established himself as one of the most celebrated filmmakers of his generation.”

Energa Camerimage is hailed by its organizers as the world’s most prestigious festival devoted exclusively to the art of cinematography. This year it will be held for the 27th time.

The festival runs from November 9 to 16.
