For years it has been the custom to start anniversary observations of the 1944 Warsaw Rising with the launch of a music album commissioned by the Warsaw Rising Museum from top Polish artists.
This time, the album is by the band Sorry Boys, and they also have their own poignant family history woven into the lyrics and the music, as Radio Poland’s Elżbieta Krajewska found out from vocalist Bela Komoszyńska.
