A prominent figure in Polish music, Poznakowski was a member of the popular Trubadurzy band from 1969 to 2005, performing alongside the likes of Krzysztof Krawczyk and Marian Lichtman.
In later years, he made occasional appearances with the band.

Earlier in his career, Poznakowski also played with the Czerwono-Czarni group.

He was the composer of iconic Polish pop songs such as Katarzyna Sobczyk’s Mały Książę and the Trubadurzy’s Znamy się tylko z widzenia.
The news of his passing was confirmed by the Warsaw-based Association of Performing Artists (SAWP), public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
