The Polish state television broadcaster earlier this month announced plans to greet 2020 with a massive open-air bash in the southern mountain resort of Zakopane.

The British musician will be among a long lineup of performers billed for the night, TVP said on Thursday.

Chris Norman is the former lead vocalist of Smokie, the legendary rock band of the 1970s and ‘80s that was known for hits such as "Living Next Door to Alice," "Mexican Girl" and "Don't Play Your Rock'n'Roll to Me."

Other performers at the New Year's Eve concert in Zakopane will include veteran Polish pop singer Maryla Rodowicz and the German duo Modern Talking, according to TVP.
