The report's conclusions and recommendations place a strong emphasis on the manufacturing sector, which accounts for nearly 40 percent of US investment in Poland, measured by assets and employment.

Creating a competitive and growth-friendly environment for these investors is a key priority, according to Sarah Morgenthau, Special Representative of the US Department of State.

Appointed by President Joe Biden in October last year, Morgenthau leads the Office of Commercial and Business Affairs at the State Department’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs.

"US companies are the second-largest group of foreign investors in Poland, trailing only Germany, and nearly 40 percent of US capital in Poland is in the manufacturing sector," Morgenthau said in her address to the conference.

Tony Housh, chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, told Danuta Isler that "Poland has a unique opportunity to really build on its role as a manufacturing hub, not just in making heavy things but also in the biosector, aerospace, defense and the space industry."
