The Russians have also lost 3,298 tanks, 6,520 armoured combat vehicles and 2,322 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces "eliminated" 800 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 467 multiple launch rocket systems, 241 air defence systems, 298 warplanes, 287 helicopters, 18 warships, and 2,013 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

The British defence ministry said on Friday that Russian troop losses in Ukraine may have reached 200,000 casualties, including up to 60,000 dead.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia's army and private mercenary groups have "likely suffered" between 175,000 and 200,000 casualties in Ukraine, including up to 60,000 killed, the UK Ministry of Defence said in an "intelligence update on the situation in Ukraine" on Friday.

According to data cited by The New York Times earlier this month, around 200,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded in Ukraine since the start of the war on February 24, 2022.

Friday is day 359 of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
