He added that the White House would announce the new aid in the coming days.
"We have committed more than USD 13 billion in security assistance to the Ukrainian armed forces, and we will continue to do that,” Kirby told reporters on Wednesday.
“There will be announcements of future security assistance in coming days,” he added.
US President Joe Biden last week said his administration would offer almost USD 3 billion in security assistance to Ukraine, Washington's largest aid package for Kyiv since Moscow's invasion more than six months ago.
That announcement coincided with Ukraine's Independence Day, marking 31 years since the country declared independence from the Soviet Union.
