"On the night of March 18, 17 out of 22 Russian attack drones were shot down in the Ukrainian sky," the Ukrainian air force said on Monday morning, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.
The air force said on the Telegram messaging app that, in addition to the attack drones, Russia also launched seven missiles at Ukraine, the Reuters news agency reported.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Monday that "72 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders took place in various parts of the frontline" over the past 24 hours.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.
Monday is day 754 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
