Poland's Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and his German counterpart Boris Pistorius also talked about bilateral defence ties, border protection and NATO's upcoming summit in Washington, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
The Polish defence ministry said in an X post that the meeting focused on "bilateral relations in defence and the security of the European Union and NATO."
It added that Kosiniak-Kamysz and Pistorius discussed NATO's July summit in Washington and border protection efforts.
The two held talks as part of Polish-German intergovernmental consultations in Warsaw on Tuesday.
NATO leaders will hold a summit in Washington from July 9 to 11.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.
Tuesday is day 860 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
