The 20-year-old Pole gained 49% of all votes in the annual contest organised by Italian sports newspaper, Tuttosport.

Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga was second with 26% of votes, and SL Benfica’s Antonio Silva (12%) was picked No.3.

In previous years, the prize was handed out to the likes of Leo Messi, Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.
