The 36-year-old Poland captain, who joined the Blaugrana from Bayern Munich for €45m in 2022, is currently tied to a deal through June 2025 – with an automatic one-year extension if he plays at least 55% of matches for a minimum of 45 minutes.
Lewandowski is on course to meet that benchmark within the next three games, ensuring he remains at Barcelona for the 2025/2026 campaign. However, despite earning around €32m (gross) this season, his contract stipulates a reduction to around €26m for that extra year.
Still leading the way
Despite his advancing years, Lewandowski remains a prolific force. He tops La Liga’s scoring chart with 18 goals, while also netting nine times in the Champions League – jointly leading the tournament’s tally alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy. On the domestic front, the veteran forward has struck twice in the Copa del Rey and added another goal in Barca’s 5–2 victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final.
