Quickly topping the platform's most-watched films in Poland, "Forgotten Love" also secured second place globally among non-English Netflix films with 11.9 million views, according to wirtualnemedia.pl.

This latest adaptation of Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz's novel, directed by Michał Gazda, features Leszek Lichota in the main role of Professor Rafał Wilczur, formerly portrayed by Jerzy Bińczycki in the 1982 adaptation by Jerzy Hoffman titled "The Quack".

Lichota shared insights into the role, stating, "Playing such an iconic character, who is struggling with huge baggage of experiences, immense trauma, and finding his identity anew was a huge acting challenge for me. The story of Professor Wilczur has shown for generations that thanks to the steadfastness of the human heart, humility, and willingness to seek the truth, fates can always turn around."

"Forgotten Love" showcases a star-studded cast including Artur Barciś, Maria Kowalska, Anna Szymańczyk, and Ignacy Liss.
