Poland's high-speed railway celebrates 10th anniversary with discounts

Children ride for one złoty (less than a quarter of an Euro), while adults can enjoy some heavy discounts. That's how Poland's national passenger railway carrier PKP Intercity is celebrating the 10th anniversary of introducing its Pendolino high-speed trains.

The company announced that on December 14, the anniversary of the first Pendolino train, children aged 4-16 will travel on Pendolino trains for just one złoty. Meanwhile, the Super Promo offer tickets are waiting for all adults who want to ride a Pendolino train that day.

Gdynia to Katowice ride on the Polish high-speed train will cost PLN 99, Warsaw to Wrocław tickets start from PLN 49, and Kraków to Rzeszów - from PLN 39.

The first Pendolino train travelled between Polish cities on December 14, 2014 - going from Warsaw to Gdynia. It covered the route in less than 3 hours on that day. Poland's high-speed trains also run on routes from Warsaw to Wrocław, Kraków and Katowice, and many others.
